"You develop your self-respect when you say you’ll do the assignment, write the assignment, and observe yourself submit the assignment…We don’t often think of ourselves as an audience or a spectator to our choices, but we are. Every decision we make is witnessed by the quiet observer within us—the part of ourselves that knows when we have honored our word or betrayed it. This internal witness does not judge with fleeting emotions or external standards; it registers, with quiet certainty, whether we are living in alignment with our values or falling short of them. " - Zahra, Substack

I've never considered myself to be the best writer, which was evident through my consistent B's in English class. To be fair, English is a very hard language to master even if you are a native since it rarely follows the rules it establishes. Despite knowing this, I've always wanted to start a blog. I've put it off until today. I apologize beforehand for any runoff sentences you might find and my overuse of commas.

My vision for this page is to reflect on the media I've consumed and created relating to the tech industry, personal interests, or even hobbies. Essentially, a place for me to informally document everything without the burden of perfectionism and hope that It inspires me, or my audience, to create more.

The past couple of months I have been drifting away from short form content and am actively trying to rewire my brain for long form content. During this time, I found a plethora of YouTube channels that has inspired me to be more reflective in my day to day life. Noticing how such an influx of violent themes in the Hollywood industry has numbed people from pain, violence, and empathy. How people from different cultures pay respect to their land through food. How the new wave of AI is making consumers unable to think for themselves, to develop skills for themselves. And as a result, paving the way for changes I can make in my life.

I want to note that this blog page mainly serves myself, giving in to topics I want to explore without the obsession to personalize myself for a certain audience. Consequently, I’ve chosen to host my blog posts on my portfolio rather than a platform dedicated to blogs, such as Substack, because my goal for this page is not to get views but rather focus on my writing and creation. Ultimately, this is an effort to take the longer road, not the shorter one, and definitely not the most efficient.

However, with all that being said, I hope others find value in my writing and feel energized to do more.

Feel free to contact me to further talk about any of my blog posts, in support or in opposition.
